This Road is a good cut through from Banbury to Shipstonon-Stour/ Stratford or Evesham.
From Banbury pick up the A422 signposted to Wroxton and Stratford this is a good road in itself particularly when you get to Edgehill and there is no doubt when you get there because it's VERY steep and winding.
Once you clear the really tight bends the hill flattens out and goes straight. Its tempting to wind the power on and fly off to Stratford and yes it is a good road BUT just as the hill bottoms out there is a junction on the left, turn left. You are then faced with a long inviting straight, again take care because there are some evil bumps and depressions which will pitch you clean out of the saddle at even moderate speeds.
At the T-junction at the end turn left and then follow the road all the way to the end. We use this road if we have an associate who persists in going over hillcrests too quickly, you'll see why when you go that way. Utilise the cross country views to maximum effect,it will help no end.
The road takes you through Lower, Middle and Upper Tysoe and leads to a T-junction with the B4035 in Lower Brailes where you turn right. This road will bring you into Shipston on Stour at the A3400 take your pick from there.
If you follow the signs for Chipping Campden you will come to a crossroads with the A429 Fosse Way turn left towards Moreton-in-Marsh and after aprox 1 mile you will find a very friendly little Chef on your left.
