BAM's events
 
BAM has three main types of events, Group Meeting, Group Runs, and other Social events.

The Group Meetings are help at 8pm on every first Wednesday evening of each month, at Tally Ho Police Training Centre, Pershore Road, Edgbaston Birmingham B5 7RN.

The Group Runs held on Saturday and Sunday mornings throughout the year; also every other Wednesday night in Summer months. For associates to have observed rides, full members to socialise and observers in training.

The groups Events range include, Full Members runs for those who have passed the IAM Advanced test, tours within the UK, tours abroad and the like. Details of trips arranged so far for 2010 are shown below.

As well as these organised meetings, members sometimes form smaller groups for informal meetings and rides out, once you've been on a few organised meetings you will tend to find yourself getting more involved in the informal meetings as well.

The Lakes Tour 2010
Friday 14th May to Sunday 16th May 2010

Price will be £175 per person to include:
  • Friday lunch on route;
  • Saturday dinner;
  • 2nights B&B at the Fisherbeck Hotel, Ambleside;
  • Sunday lunch on way home.

The Land, Sea and Air Tour 2010
Friday 4th June to Sunday 6th June 2010
 
A new tour in the BAM programme to Sussex taking in interesting heritage centres and staying in a high quality hotel all at reasonable cost.
 
 Friday
Ride to Sussex taking in the Brooklands Aero/Motor Museum and Mercedes World then on to the hotel.  Dinner in a local pub.
 Saturday
Ride out to south coast and various places of interest returning to the hotel for a 3 course dinner (included).
 Sunday
Return to Birmingham via interesting biking roads. 
N.B. Entrance cost to heritage sites is not included.

Scotland "On a Shoestring" Tour 2010
 Friday 2/7/2010 to Saturday 10/7/2010
 
There are 16 places available on next year's trip to Scotland.  In order to keep costs to a minimum we have been able to reserve accommodation with the Scotish Youth Hostel Association.  Obviously you will be sharing a room.
 
Costs:
Accommodation only - £160
Ferry Crossings - £60
 
Other essential costs e.g. Single Malt, McEwan's 80/-, petrol and 3 square meals per day wil need to be budgeted for individually.Total milage estimated at 1700.

3 Moor Days Full Members Tour
Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th September 2010
 
Only £122 per person, to include:
  • Pub lunch on friday;
  • 2 nights B&B at The Royal & Fortesque Hotel, Barnstaple;
  • Secure hotel parking;
  • Tour dinner on Saturday night at the hotel;
  • sunday pub lunch on way home;
  • plus optional Go Karting on Friday night at extra cost.

 Friday
8am leave Becketts Farm, via a circuitous route over Exmoor to Barnstaple. + Go Carting if you wish.
 Saturday
To Padstow for lunch taking in Dartmoor and the prison together with Bodmin Moor. 
 Sunday
Back to Birmingham via Cheddar Gorge
