Birmingham Advanced Motorcyslists, IAM members

New Page 1

The Birmingham Advanced Motorcyclists are the Birmingham branch of the IAM, one of the largest IAM bike groups in the country, currently with over 350 members.

The club is primary aimed at improving the standard of riding of it's members, although there is also an active social scene, and lots of ride out just for fun.

Yes you can get insurance discounts if you pass the IAM advanced test, but BAM offers more than that. Forget all you've heard about old men in cloth caps smoking pipes! BAM is a forward thinking club with an elected committee representing the members.  There is always something going on in addition to the high standard of training, there are ride outs, weekends away in this country and to other parts of Europe.

The club is helped by the West Midlands Police Force, some of the members and observers are police motorcycle riders, who have the enviable reputation of being the best police riders in the world.

This site can tell you when and where the club meets, when there are organised group rides, what social activities are planned, and how to join. There are also pages on good biker roads in the country, and a download of the club bi-monthly newsletter.

If you ride a bike, be it just for fun at the weekend, or every day, you can improve you're riding style and safety with the help of BAM.
